What do you do when New York has freakishly warm weather in November? You go on a cruise.
This past weekend, I was ridiculously lucky enough to set sail on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas with James and a few of my favorite bloggers. It’s a shiny new cruise liner that now ships out of Cape Liberty Port in Bayonne, New Jersey (just a hop, skip and an Uber ride away from NYC). We departed on a 2-night voyage down the East Coast. Since it was a quick trip, we never went into international waters, but it normally would head down to the Bahamas and the Caribbean for anywhere from 7 to 12 days (sign me up please!).

Truth be told, the last time I was on a cruise, I was 12. I really had no idea what to expect or pack, especially for a fall cruise (see my attempt at a packing list here), but I knew I wanted to be comfy for our first day on board. I pulled out an striped dress and a navy bomber jacket that I already had in my closet (similar dress and jacket here) for an easy nautical-inspired look. Then I threw on a pair of leopard loafers because you know I love me some mixed prints.
This week, I’ll be sharing a few more looks that I wore on the boat (you can see previews of them here) and some of the amazing/hilarious/unforgettable experiences I had on board. Stay tuned!
