I used to steer clear of anything with wide legs. It was kind of an irrational fear, like I would get engulfed by all of the fabric … but just like any other outfit, wearing culotte pants is all about proportions and fabrics. First, because I’m somewhat short, I made sure to pick up a petite pair. I ordered this pair from Nordstrom last week, but I’m sad to say they’re already sold out (don’t worry, I linked some cute alternates below!).
Second, if you’re going to wear something with as much fabric as culottes, make sure you pare back on top so we know there’s some skin to ya! I tucked this leaf print tank into my culottes for a look that’s both easy and refined. And if you feel daring enough, you could pair this top with its matching culotte counterpart and win all of the style points.
Finally, get your hands on a fabric that feels fluid – I promise you will look like you’re gliding whenever you walk! So what do you think of trend? Have you tried it? I’d love to hear your thoughts down in the comments below!
