Why Summer is My Favorite Season for Clothes

Outfit: Topshop palm print slip dress / Spring Street beaded tassel necklace (only $32!) / Canvas Jewelry stone wire bracelet / Kate Spade sailor knot bangle / J.Crew rattan clutch / LOFT crossover flat sandals (only $40!)
Makeup: Too Faced Born this Way foundation in ‘Ivory’ / Bobbi Brown bronzing powder in ‘Golden Light’ / Dior ‘2-in-1 Prime & Conceal’ in ’02’ / Anastasia ‘Brow Wiz’ eyebrow pencil in ‘Dark Brown’ / Tarte ‘Tartelette Amazonian Clay’ matte eyeshadow / Make Up For Ever mascara / NARS blush in ‘Dolce Vita’ / NARS ‘Audacious’ lipstick in ‘Greta’
Sure, I could dress like I’m on a tropical vacation while navigating my way through the concrete jungle, but it’s so much more satisfying to actually be on vacation in a printed dress like this. I also brought along this beaded tassel necklace (only $32) and this rattan clutch (under $100) and paired it with nearly everything I wore because they just epitomize all of the summer vibes.
Summer is hands down my favorite season for clothes, mainly because I hate wearing pants, close-toed shoes and any kind of layers (and that basically eliminates every other season, ha!). During the summertime, my closet is filled to the brim with easy, throw-on-and-go dresses and strappy sandals (this studded pair and this jeweled pair are my current go-to’s). It’s a combination that I guarantee you’ll find me wearing 95% of the time for the next few months, because I’d rather be spending less time thinking about what I’m wearing and more time playing outside. Do you feel the same way?
