I’m heading back to Arizona today for Homecoming Weekend!  To celebrate, I’m rocking my college colors today: red, navy and leopard (Arizona Wildcats — get it?).  I’m so excited to reunite with my best friends, cheer on my team and eat tons of Mexican food so cheers and bear down!

Skirt The Rules Blog; NYC fashion blogger; how to style a little black dress; Karen Kane Wrinkle Resistant Travel Scuba Dress; Promod textured white jacket; JewelMint collar necklace; Hello Fab glam gold sequin clutch' ShoeMint hot pink pointed pumpsBefore moving to NYC, I only owned one black dress in my otherwise colorful wardrobe.  Fast forward a year and my collection is rapidly growing with LBDs of all shapes and sizes.  I love them because they make for an instantly polished look every time, which is perfect for mornings where I’m rushing out the door.  When I do have a little more time and brainpower to put into my outfit, I dress up my LBDs with playful accessories: a textured jacket, a sparkly necklace, a pair of neon pumps – or all of the above!

Okay, so I’ll be completely honest here: I don’t really do country and I don’t do rodeos.  Truth is, I once bought a pair of cowboy boots … and then only wore them once.  Needless to say, I’m much more of a city girl that is occasionally inspired by the country spirit.  So maybe my interpretation involves sequin and leopard — would you expect anything less?
